Child Sponsorship

Care for Africa sponsored eleven orphans from the Tarime District in 2007 and 2008. Also, Sarafina, 3 yr old Albino was enrolled at St Jude's Primary Boarding School in Tarime all costs were paid for by the Foundation.

Library

A Library was created at Mogabiri School and included flooring, painting and book shelves

Ambulance

Ambulance-Mobile-ClinicA second had ambulance was provided in 2007 - it now serves as a mobile health clinic

Generator/Running Water

A Generator was provided for the TGWF Hospital and running water was installed in 2007.

Shipping Containers

4 Shipping Containers have been sent with goods delivered to the communities of Keterere, Mtana, Bugango, Biswari, Somboysokso and Surubu the fourth container was sent to Ghana.

6x Hospital Beds, Generator, Clothing, 60x Soccer Balls Medical equipment: suction units x 3, nursing uniforms and theatre scrubs, paediatric scales, diathermy machine, linen, wheel chairs x 3, surgical instruments

2007

Ambulance, Educational Equipment, books, 250 back packs, 140 soccer balls, coal tar soap, bicycles x4, chalk, typewriters x 2, Medical equipment, glucometers x3, baby scales, theatre scrubs, elbow crutches

2008

7x Hospital Beds, Clothing, Linen, Educational Equipment, 40 teacher's boxes, 500 art bags, books, exercise books, pencils, 2 x lap top computers, 3x desk top computers.

2008 (Ghana)

Mattresses x10, Tent, Educational equipment, photocopier, computers x 30, manual typewriters x10, books, pens& pencils, Sewing Machines x 20, Hygiene products, Medical products, clothing, cooking utensils.
There are also and additional three containers, currently being filled and awaiting shipment, in Tasmania

Dam Wall Repair

Repair of Surubu Village dam wall - wire boxes filled with rocks filled the hole, which was then covered with dirt.

Pump Repair

Repair of hand pump from a spring well used for drenching cattle in the Surubu community

KNITTING

The knitting project commenced 2 years ago. We have elderly women from all over the state knitting jumpers for the needy babies and children of Tarime.
Last year the women extended their project by knitting blankets for the elderly in Tarime.
